US Congress to vote on legalizing cannabis on the federal level next week and other weekly news

🇺🇸A historic vote on the bill to end prohibition of cannabis on the federal level will take place in Congress next week, according to Forbes and its two sources of knowledge. The legislation would remove marijuana from the Controlled Substances Act. 

🇬🇧British citizens – either tourists or employees – consuming recreational cannabis in the states where it is legalised, can still be expelled or denied consequent entry to the US. It happens due to the fact that foreign visitors can still be sanctioned while the drug remains illegal under federal law. 

Medical cannabis

🇨🇦 Recent research claims that cannabis does not help people quit powerful opioids (addictive painkiller drugs, heroine, morphine and others) despite a wide belief. 

🇺🇸The University of Maryland started to accept applications for the first graduate program in the country in medical cannabis – two-year MS program in Medical Cannabis Science and Therapeutics.
