🇬🇧The first cannabis-based medicine for childhood epilepsy is expected to be available soon in the UK and the rest of Europe after its UK manufacturer, GW Pharmaceuticals, received the green light from European authorities.

🇺🇸Lowell Cafe, opening next month in Los Angeles, will become the country’s first legal cannabis restaurant, meaning the first business in the US licensed to serve meals with both food and marijuana. Entrepreneurs behind Lowell Cafe see the business as a major turning point toward the ‘end of prohibition’ in America. 

🇨🇦Cannabis retail sales topped $100 million for the first time post-recreational legalization in July, according to data from Statistics Canada. The federal agency said on Friday that “gains at cannabis stores were widespread, and across all provinces, with double-digit growth in eight provinces.”

🇲🇽With less than a month remaining to abide by a Supreme Court-ordered deadline to legalize recreational cannabis, the country’s congress is mulling 10 proposed laws that would make them just the third country in the world—behind Uruguay and Canada—to legalize adult use.
